Taco Bell - False advertising
On 9-12-18 I visited the the Taco Bell #029275 at 125 Rte 101-A in Amherst, NH. The signboard in the store clearly asdvertised the "Double Cheesy Gordita $5.00 Box".
But the franchisee chooses not to participate in the program and sells it at $5.99, even though the sign board shows it at $5. I spoke to the manager, Alan, about this . He stated that the signboard is designed for the corporate stores and that he would not sell the product at the advertised signboard price. He said he was working on replacing the sign, it was a mistake to put it up, but he still would not honor the price.
I explained to him that this situation is false advertising and amounts to "Bait and Switch" tactics, but, he didn't care. He did not care that I was upset and felt cheated and he left the sign just the way it was so that they could cheat the next customer who would be purposely overcharged.
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Monetary Loss: $1.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
Taco Bell Pros: Helpful, Couurteuos helpful cashier.
Taco Bell Cons: False advertising and uncaring manager.

No it doesnโt say DOUBLE on the sign for the box. It just says cheesy. Learn to read better
So this is over 99 cents?
No, it's the principle of it. You can't advertise an item for one price and sell it for another.
However, if you put a little thought into it...99 cents times let's say 100 customers a day is $99...times 7 days is $693, times 52 weeks is $36036.
Need I go on or do you get the significance of the 99 cents? Even if you cut those numbers in half, that is a lot of money to most people, especially when it is being obtained by false and illegal advertising !!!!!
