Taco Bell - Slow Food
The Taco Bell had plenty of staff with 6 people there at 8:30 pm on Wednesday night on 3/14 at 170th St and Maple location in Omaha, NE. I went into the dining room because of the lengthy line of cars extending out of the drive thru.
It wasn't the 20 minute wait time for my $5 order that frustrated me, it was the 4 people that stood standing behind the counter that did nothing the whole time while at least 5 other parties ahead and 5 more behind me experienced 20 minute waits for their food. The employees worked very hard not to make eye contact with customers. Instead they chit-chatted and slowed down the ONLY person preparing food by distracting him. I have sympathy when places are understaffed and working hard, however, this was the exact opposite - they were overstaffed while 4 out of 6 of them did nothing.
It was the 20 minute wait with no sense of "fast food" urgency that frustrated me.
It was pretty embarrassing to see this franchise location so poorly managed at night. I learned my lesson not to go to that location in the evening.
Reason of review: Order processing issue.
